ACM Microsoft Michigan Halo Tournament		1st place out of 37 teams from 3 states	$380 cash X-box 3 X-box games 3 XA3021 Altec Lansing Speaker Sets Entrance fee to AGP
This was one of the first great Halo tournaments we had gone to.  There had been a good amount of halo tournaments at our college (Michigan State University) since halo came out.  This was the biggest yet.  37 teams from 3 different teams came to compete in the event.  Part of team ps helped out in making the event possible.  PS-Dragon was in charge of getting sponsors and promoting the event.  Several members from a student organization called ACM moderated the event and decided on the rules.  The event went rather smoothly for the amount of teams.  There were 3 stations going at once for this 3 vs. 3 tournament so there were 6 TVs, and 6 x-boxs total.  The tournament was a slayer tournament.
vs MDK Alpha
In the first round we played Slayer Pro on Battles Creek.  We played a team called MDK Alpha. There were actually two mdk teams at the event and apparently we played the lesser of the two in the first round.  The game went pretty quick and team ps won 50 kills to 17.  For some reason the other MDK started talking shit after the game thinking they would easily beat us because the lesser mdk team got 17...
vs The Juice
In round 2 we played Slayer Pro on Hang em High.  The team we played was called The Juice.  We had played this team before since they were from our college. They were a good team but team ps still won the game 50 to 27.

vs The Blazers
In the third round we played Slayer Pro on Rat Race. We played this 10th place team the Blazers.  Our team did a very good job in controlling the powerups and the shotgun and by sticking together we were able to win the game 50 to 23.
vs T-bag
In the 4th round we played our best competition yet.  The map was Battle Creek and we were playing team T-bag.  They wound up with 5th place and did a very good job on Battle Creek.  Eventually we were able to get the upper hand and control the map perfectly. The game ended with a 50 to 32 score.
vs MDK

Finally the semifinals game came.  Here we were to face Team MDK that was very confident of their chances to beat us.  MDK wound up getting 4th place at the tournament and gave us a scare.  We played Hang em High and we almost lost the game from the start.  MDK spawned on top of the map and quickly took all of our team out who had spawned on the bottom.  We kept spawning near the invisibility power up and they kept killing us.  At one point Team MDK had a score of 14 to our 2.  This had to have been the biggest scare at losing a game team ps has ever had.  There was only one way to get out of this and that was a camo/rocket launcher combination.  Luckily PS-Drag was able to grab a camo and wait until he was completely invisible.  At that point he made his way to get a rocket launcher.  Again he was lucky and one spawned just in time.  He then made his way to the top of the map and was able to take out MDK's entire team. Corrosion and Clockwork were then able to get the top of the map.  From that point team PS was able to hold that area and pulled off a 50 to 34 victory.
vs Cobra	Finals
The next game was the finals.  We really didn't know what to expect from team Cobra because we had heard nothing of them.  We figured they must be good to have made it this far.  They were our only team from Indiana so again we thought they must be good if they are going to make that drive on a school night.  The finals was a best of 3 match.  Originally it was just going to be one game of ctf but the moderators decided we had enough time to play best of 3.  We fancied ourselves really great Blood Gulch players.  We were in for a huge surprise.  Cobra was the best competition we had ever had on blood Gulch.  Even after team PS experience at the AGP tournament Cobra is still our most feared opponent on that map.  The game took around 25 minutes.  The moderators decided that if the game went over 20 minutes then first capture would win.  This made team ps very nervous.  After a full 25 minutes team ps finally was able to pull off a capture.  Team ps won the first of the best of 3 finals 1 cap to 0.  Because of the length of the blood gulch the moderators talked with both teams and we both agreed to play the rest of the finals back in slayer.  Both teams agreed to play Hang em Hi for the next map.

vs Cobra	Finals game 2
Again Cobra gave us a very close game in slayer.  They played a strategy we really weren't used to.  Team ps luckily spawned up top for this game.  But what cobra did next was unexpected. Their entire team waited and picked up a shotgun each.  Then they rushed the top all at once.  Their trick nearly worked a few times but we were able to hold them off and won the game 50 to 38.  The tournament was won after many great games.  Team Cobra is still the best team we have ever played and they are also a great bunch of guys.  We look forward to meeting them in future competitions.
